Za nami pierwsze warsztaty z mieszkańcami w ramach LIFE PACT. Rewitalizacja skweru przy Ehrenberga i Chełmońskiego

The first workshops with residents as part of LIFE PACT are now behind us. Revitalisation of the square at Ehrenberga and Chełmońskiego

Fifty people, three hours of frank discussion, and one issue concerning the square on Ehreneberg Street – that was yesterday's meeting with residents.

Thanks to the formula of meetings with residents as part of the LIFE PACT project, it is possible to develop a coherent concept for land use that takes into account its potential as well as its limitations.

Yesterday, we learned about the identity of the square at Ehrenberg – small-scale trade in fruit and vegetables straight from the producer. The residents almost unanimously wanted a shelter to be built on the site, where a friendly trader could take refuge. In accordance with the residents' wishes, easy-to-maintain new shrubs, grasses and ornamental plants will be planted there. Often, the expectations of the parties were mutually exclusive. We learned what some people really wanted and what others absolutely did not want. We heard that this was definitely not the place for a playground.

The meeting was an opportunity for open, honest and lively discussion, during which residents could share their concerns, suggestions and expectations for the future of the neglected square. Issues that could not be resolved immediately and which divided neighbours, such as a place to sit down, were recorded in the minutes and will require a good solution to be found.

The KEGW workshops themselves lasted several hours, but they were preceded by months of preparation by officials. Most of the time was devoted to local conditions, with analyses and site visits carried out to identify plots of land for revitalisation in Kraków PL .

Thank you once again for a fantastic meeting. We invite you to another one on Tuesday, 24 October, at 6 p.m., concerning the square on Monte Cassino Street. Due to the weather, we will be waiting with the designers at Primary School No. 30 on Konfederacka Street 12.

Together we can make a difference! Prepare for climate change with us!
