Another rain garden – planting is underway at Monte Cassino
And we are not doing it alone! The residents decided what the space between Monte Cassino, Szwedzka and Dębowa Streets will look like. It will be green, with benches in the shade and flowers.
Most of the people gathered at the workshop pointed out that the close proximity to a busy street is a significant problem for this location. To increase comfort and safety, the scope of activities included the creation of a green wall made of shrubs. The seedlings that will form the green hedge are already waiting to be watered.
In Krakow, the Life Pact programme, under which this garden is being created, covers five locations. In addition to Monte Cassino Street, changes are planned on Chełmońskiego Street in Azory, on a plot at the intersection of Witosa, Gołaśka and Marcowa Streets, at Primary School No. 2 on Strzelców Street, and in the park on Banacha Street in the Prądnik Biały district.
