Start of the Investment – Primary School No. 2 on Strzelców Street
The Water Infrastructure Authority, as part of the “LIFE PACT – The Human Factor. Adapting Cities for Tomorrow” project, is beginning the implementation of an investment at Primary School No. 2, located at 5a Strzelców Street. The construction contract was signed on May 20, 2025, and the site was handed over on May 21, 2025. Completion of all works is scheduled no later than July 31, 2025
The scope of the investment includes construction work, planting greenery, and maintaining areas of green-blue infrastructure. The works will be carried out in accordance with the design documentation and applicable regulations and standards. Particular emphasis has been placed on the protection of existing greenery and the use of plant material that meets high quality standards. During public consultations, residents and the school community proposed, among other things, the use of gabion seating, a reduction in the number of seasonal plants in favor of year-round vegetation, the installation of informational plaques, and the integration of the project with a planned green wall on the gymnasium building. As a result, a rain garden with a stormwater retention function will be created, along with an integration zone and educational elements.
After the completion of the works, a 14-day maintenance period for the newly planted greenery is planned, followed by annual warranty inspections.
