On 25 October, an agreement was signed with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management for co-financing the LIFE PACT project. The new tranche of funds amounts to as much as 35% of the subsidy for the construction of rain gardens in the city. The remaining 50% will come from the EU's LIFE programme. In total, this amounts to as much as 85% of external funding for the development of blue-green infrastructure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Thanks to the signed agreement, the Climate-Energy-Water Management unit will build, among other things, two rain gardens, and in the next three it will apply nature-based solutions that will improve the quality of life in the city. This is an important partnership programme, thanks to which we will replicate good and proven methods of participation with residents. In this way, we are following in the footsteps of our partners from Life PACT Leuven and Madrid. There will be more and more proven ideas for adapting the city to climate change. Approximately \u20ac4 million has been allocated for the construction of rain gardens in Krakow, Madrid and Leuven as part of LIFE PACT.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
